finally
It’s true, the Steam page for Spectra & Boggs is live.
updates
That update seems pretty significant compared to any of the usual updates we make, but here we go.
We’re working on a few more updates to the game that should round it out a bit and then we can finally release it.
One more new map type, and an update to the last mysterious character in the graveyard. He’s kind of a random chance character, and his sidequest is shaping up to be more of a scavenger hunt and pseudo-loot box-o-rama.
But. No gambling degen type behavior, just good ol’ fashioned RNG.
steam page release stuff
At the point of writing this, the game page has been live for about 5 days. A monday through Friday.
We found the stats interesting, behind the scenes on how a small little game performs on steam is relatively unknown information.
We have a total of 213 impressions, which are classified as the number of times the game’s capsule image has appeared to users on Steam.
Additionally, the page has 259 unique visits.
That’s interesting, so the page has more visits than users have seen the image for the page? How?
Bots.
Bot traffic accounts for ~22% of the traffic, currently 58 of the 259 visits!
However, all of that traffic seems suspect. And, steam has UTM-styled metrics which rate our “trusted” visits at… 7!
We have very, very modest expectations for the game in general. 7 views is more in line with what we’d expect at this point.
Considering we aren’t very flashy, have no video or demo, and have done zero social media posting or marketing, it’s also not surprising to learn we have only 1 wishlist at the moment. (number 1 fan status, btw)
If the data we get from this becomes interesting in other ways, we’ll post more about it.
happy valentine’s day
Thanks for reading and checking out our new page.
Love you.
