a late update

The update post got away from us, this time.

It’s been relatively quiet for us as we worked on some important features for the game!

progress on the game

We’ve been cleaning up a ton of bugs we left in the game, dialing in the final mechanics, and starting to work more seriously on putting together the extra content that we think will make the game a little more interesting.

Roughly half the work we did in the past month was bug-related clean up!

We now have a small collection of house-type maps that have made it into the rotation for areas to explore, and will be working on more settings to haunt next.

macOS issues

This part of the update sucks.

The game is meant to support multiplayer (we still haven’t decided for how many players, but something like 2 to 4), but there are some issues with the macOS steamworks libraries the community has for Godot.

We’re monitoring the situation, but at the moment it looks like macOS multiplayer compatibility might be a problem.

release date when?

We’d still like to have the game out by October so that you can haunt a few houses in Sleepy Talon Style.

see you next month, or earlier?

There is a growing list of topics we’ve been considering writing some posts for. (Like some early artwork or gameplay.) One or any of those might make it into a blog post outside of the monthly pattern we have going here… we’ll see!
